    Hi,

My Microsoft mouse is around 3 years old.. Lately it's began to lose tracking i.e. it's kind of glitchy at times.

Just wondering do these things just wear out? It gets a lot of use.

Also, I don't think it's the batterys because usually when they go the mouse stops working and I think I changed them before to check and it made no difference.

    Thanks.

Maybe try cleaning it? And clean the surface you use it on. I didn't think they degraded, but i could be wrong.

I just spotted that the desk is kinda worn from the mouse which is obviously confusing the mouse. It works fine elswhere on the desk.

Time to get a mousepad :(

    Thanks.

Shiny surfaces always do this to laser mice, bet You have no problems tracking on a notepad
