    Second is nowhere.

Why do you continually bring your failures up in public?

Is there something you need to share?

I'd pick John Cusack, because he's a bloody great actor and he usually turns down roles that are overly Hollywood.
I think John Cusack's great but he has been in some turkeys to be fair.

I would like to have George Lee enact my life in metaphor, from a lonely duckling to a grown swan that eventually meets an untimely, sqawking death at the hands of a major political leader.

He would have to do it completely naked and through the medium of modern dance of course.

Whatever you do, don't actually think of an actor that might be good at acting out your life on screen. That is just so self-absorbing. Just think of the funniest thing that comes into your head (you might even get thanked), and post that... I'm just too cool for this shít...

    Dear Ollie,

I apologise for not taking your thread on the internet seriously enough for your liking. I realise now that the internet is not the place for off the cuff remarks or humour especially when dealing with subjects as sensitive and important as what actor would I choose to play me in my life story.

As everyone knows, we will all get a movie biography made of our lives at some point along the way and wasting this opportunity to get a headstart on the difficult casting decision of the lead role is a stupid thing to do. Once again I humbly apologise. Please forgive me, I was foolish and acted without thinking. I will try my best to never do it again.

If it pleases you Ollie I would like to put forward Heath Ledger as a possibility for the lead in my biopic. I know he's dead and would require some digging up but still I think he's the best man for the role. A bit of air freshener would take care of the smell and we could make him talk using puppetry or computer graphics. It'd be box office gold.

    Respectfully,

    AnonoBoy.

Ok, we've established those who post light-hearted comments on a non-serious forum (something that always existed before thanks was introduced) are "thanks whores"... so, what is the term for the paranoid fruit loops who are constantly on the lookout for instances of "thanks whoring" to analyse?

    'Paranoid fruit loop' is good.
Thankswhoreophobe is the technical term, I believe.

The word 'actress' is extremely sexist.

It is a female actor to you, sh*t for brains.

Wow you dug right into a rich vein of irony there.

I would get Edward Norton to play me although I doubt it would challenge him much.

You're absolutely right! In fact you should contact the Academy of Motion Picture Art & Sciences before they cause an embarrasing international scene on March 7th.

How can you take a thread in after hours seriously especially with the title 'What actor/actress would you choose to play you, in you life story?
Seriously, I dont consider my life story that interesting and any good actor/actress would immediatley turn down the role for a film that would (be very obvious) be a massive flop at the box office!

However as this IS AH im gonna say Keira Knightley - simply because she is very good looking and this is fiction! ;)

Don't feel so bad about yourself. Some day you might get a serious physical or mental injury ... and then they'll be queuing up to play you.

Just be sure tho to not to go full-retard!

Oh I don't know... My life has been so complex, varied and downright intriguing, even Meryl Streep turned down the role of the older me on the grounds of it being "too much of a challenge".

I think we need a new word for thanks whore now.
    Thanks encourager? Thanks marauder?
    Thanks pirate?
Thanks whore hater would be like the thanks police. Kinda like sigpo only with the power to take away unauthorised or somehow ill-gotten thanks.

Says more about Meryl Streep than your life!
Maybe Catherine Lynch would like the role of me! :D

"Whore" is such an ugly, misanthropic word - "thanks sex worker" would be better.

Yeah but he'd have to come and live your life for a few years to get into character and then he'd essentially become you and part of your life and so you'd have to get someone else to play him in the actual movie. It'd be a never ending cycle.

Someone really should make a movie about that sort of thing. ;)

Good point indeed, but it would mean he could do all my work while learning how to get into character while I get paid.
