I just wanted to ask what people thought about how the presenters dressed, their hairstyles overall style.

Personally - (considering how stylish the other guys dressed in that competition to present the show) - I'm not keen Sean Munsanje's style. I dont think he is very stylish at all - plays it very safe.

I have always found the appearance (I cannot call it style) of the presenters on Xpose really, really terrible. Before I go on I'd like to say that this is not a criticism of the girls themselves but their 'styling' (or lack of)

I don't know where to start but I guess the satsuma coloured fake tan, trowelled on make-up, cheap looking blingy jewellery, overly processed hair and tacky clothes are basically everything I try to avoid. Prime Example!

It's just so heavy, in-yer-face and overdone that it screams try hard. Not to mention completely void of originality. <Shudder> I really cannot stand that look and much prefer a more loose hair, natural make-up, skinny jeans, cotton tshirt and ballet flats approach to things.

Most of the time the Xpose presenters look dreadful. I don't know if they have stylists or if they do, they need to sack them because the clothes they wear are hideous. Aisling's wardrobe is the absolute worst of them all, does she even look in a mirror before she goes on camera? Because if she did, she would surely change her outfit. It's just a complete mess!

I agreed with you up until this comment. That sounds so, so boring and is basically what every girl in their teens and 20s wears on an everyday basis! Some bit of personal style is needed for someone to be considered stylish IMO, not just wearing what everyone else is wearing at the moment.

To be honest, I'm not really interested if you think my clothes are boring. Also that's just an example of a look I would find more appealing in contrast to the Xpose ladies, not what I wear on a daily basis. I didn't go into detail about what I wear because this thread is not about me, the example I gave was for purposes of illustration only.

I find the style on the show to be generally quite poor.

Glenda Gilsen I have especially lost any hope in. I just don't know what's going on with her. Somedays it appears she just threw on a pair of jeans and a 'cool' rock t-shirt. Other days it's a mini dress and those awful, awful, awful ankle boots that manage to make her legs look oh so chunky. Which seems an impossible task with legs like hers but anyone who has seen them on her will know what I mean.

Aisling sometimes dresses like a granny. I don't know where she gets some of the stuff. High necked, long skirts. I wouldn't mind them on their own but I have seen her pair both of these together.

Karen's dressese, however, I do generally like. They are very brash at times but I like colour.

I think they're dreadful. Karen was wearing a yellow shiny skirt with a navy shiny top (could have been a 2 tone dress, was hard to tell) there recently and it was awful! And it did nothing for her.

They are a terrible representation of Irish fashion. On Fridays show Karen was wearing a shiny peachy orange dress which was horrific on her and made her look like she had a big belly (Which she doesn't). Aisling was wearing a hairband and her hair all spiked up with gel behind it. What is going on with that hair??

Lisa Cannon is probably the best of them in fairness. Then again it normally only shows her from the chest upwards as she is interviewing someone.

Where did I even mention what you wear? I commented on the look you described, not what you wear, as I have no idea how you dress on a daily basis or otherwise.

Think they're awful myself. Glenda is looking awful especially recently, looks like she picked clothes off her floor.

Also I think Aisling's hair is just awful. I just looked at that spiky hairband thing and it's not good at all...

I think that with the recession they are now doing their own styling. Some of the outfits are shocking alright, and in my opinion they should wear clothes that are in season, as in all honesty they are on tv and watched by thousands of women.
I think they would be better off getting their clothes in stores we all would shop in everyday (have never seen anything they wear in any shop)and that probably would be a lot nicer and more fashionable, and easier to look at.

    They do.

Most of the time, the girls style themselves from clothes on the high street or in boutiques.

Sure, they might have all had a fashion faux pas or two, but haven't we all?

I don't watch the show very often but think they don't dress well at all. I agree with a lot of other poster comments. It looks like they don't have a stylist.

It's fine to have a fashion faux pas or two but the Xpose girls look dreadful most of the time which is not ok. They are on tv - they can at least put some effort into how they dress rather than throwing on the first thing they see like they couldn't care less.

Aisling O'Loughlin is a hippy at heart and dressed like that occasionally. Nothing wrong with that IMO.

I'm far from a fashion queen but my mam and I have watched it so many times and said 'what are they wearing'!! I think Karen is the worst dressed, I've seen pics of her and she seems quite small but she so often wears close that make her look twice the width that she is!!

Aisling's hair does not suit her - full stop! And as for her clothes

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,057 ✭✭✭Sapsorrow

OMG that picture is hillarious! Are they supposed to be inspiring the nation ya? Those dresses look like they came from those horrible trashy cheapy debs dress tyle shops that are all over the place. Anyone else got any they want to post I don't have a telly so would be much appreciated!

Ba ha ha! Just found this picture some state the lot of them! They look about as sophisticated as a crack wh*re! The make up, overly styled hair and fake tan is so tacky unbelievable. :pac::pac::pac:

Is the girl in the yellow pregnant? Or is the wind blowing the dress? And the girl in green on the right is wearing a dress that's at least a size too small for her. Look at her boobs! She can't be comfortable!

Other than that, the blue dress is nice, without the corsage. And the green dress on the right would be nice in the right size, and without the tights.

State of Karen. She looks very chunky. She makes Sybil look sexy :(

I think they've been watching gabby off desperate housewives a bit too closely and that's most definately not a good thing.

Jesus I just saw Sybils bow.

Expose: Don't see this show much, was on tv3 repeats tonight.
I hope Lisa Cannon's man doesn't watch it!
Lisa was interviewing Eve Mendes and was saying that both of them were in long term relationships. Then she asked Eve how she keeps things alive when it starts to fizzle after year 7-ish. Hmmm - don't make plans for the Christmas yet, bud.

I think Glendas outfits are the worst, I especially hate the skinny jean, rock tshirt combo that she seems so fond of. She has no originality or sense of style at all. Karen has her own style and it's always consistent however she wears some really unflattering dresses quite often, it's not THAT hard to figure out what suits your shape and when you're the main presenter of a fashion show you should at least know that much.

What was that about at the start of xpose today about a complaint on 1/12/10 show?

Oh my god, what on earth did they make that poor plus sized model wear? Some of the dresses made her look like a stringed up ham fillet.

As a plus sizer (well is 16 still considered plus?), I would not put those dresses anywhere near me. They did absolutely nothing for the girl. Awful awful awful.

Right, that's it. Not goiung to watch it any more.

the white tights were horrendeous. As a 'average' sized woman who can wear most styles I would never wear those tights, they make any leg look like the tree trunk of a 200 year old oak tree. Plus the entire outfit was all white? So no getting in or out of mucky winter cars, sitting on seats that a child MAY have ever been on

I'd watch a few mins of Xpose here and there while waiting for my dinner (I'm male btw).

I just have to say everytime I see Karen Koster - I just think she has no dress/fashion sense at all. Nearly everything she wears looks bad on her.

Not sure is it because she looks short or what, her mad coloured tights annoy me also with random outfits.

Anyway thats my rant over - maybe I'm way off and she dresses well but when I look at her and what she's wearing generally I just go - NO!!

But they have an Xpose stylist! This is what baffles me. Someone is paid to actively put together those 'outfits' in advance.

best job in the world ay? Get a random box of clothes, close your eyes and dig in. Throw Glenda and co a random bunch of clothes but while handing them over utter words like "Contemporary" and "You make that your own" etc and watch them all agree. "Oh I love this lime green halter neck with the duffel coat and football shorts look".
