How do you feel by WingsOfRedemption's quote by which he said 'you are basically crap if your kill death ratio is under 2. Your the reason people get nukes so easily!' I really don't like that guy anymore!!

Btw that's not exactly what he said word by word but that's what he basically said.

I think its only kids that think you have to have a good k/d ratio, but you see a lot of people with good k/d ratios but their win to loss is crap, If i was in a clan i would much rather have someone with a good win to loss ratio rather than a k/d ratio, at least you know you have a good team player on your team.

That's not at all true.

I've never camped and I've a k/d ratio of around 2.5. I would agree with him to an extent though, if you can't kill two people without being killed yourself, then you're probably not very good at the game.

It's a stupid thing to say. Basic maths will tell you that it's impossible for everyone in the game to have a K/D ratio of 2 or over. For every kill that you get, one person has to die.

So, if there were only 2 players, and one had a K/D ratio of 5, the other one would have to have a K/D ratio of 0.2.

Don't know who that person is, but it sounds like he is someone who takes the game way too seriously.

If you look through the leaderboards, 1 is average. 1.8 and above is probably decent but anything below is ok, lower than 1.2 and it's probably a sign that the game isn't for you.

I'm also talking about significant sample sizes btw, 10k+ kills would probably be sufficient in sampling. Small sample sizes are relatively meaningless.

Indeed. It has to be, otherwise I have no faith in statistics anymore

The only thing that would slightly skew it are when people accidentally kill themselves, which adds one to the death count, but there isn't a corresponding kill.

@Rb,it dosent work that way, u don't get 2 kills in a game and then leave, or is that what u do? Instead of thinking it as 2 kills and 0 deaths, it's a bit easier thinking it as 30 kills and 15 deaths or 20 kills and 10 deaths in every game. P.S there is a few of famous players on YouTube who's ratio is around 1.5, because they actually go for objectives, and not camp like you

In fact I don't know why I'm complaining because I'm younger than all of u and I usually just have fun in a match like knifing people on my team and trying to trap people in corners with riot shields

I don't camp, sorry to tell you, in fact I'm probably one of the most vocal anti-camper people you'll find. I just play TDM, go around and kill people, as some scores I've posted have proven. I don't do silly "kill 10 people with a riot shield" objectives because, well, they're retarded, however I do try to level up the weapons and perks that I use. That generally involves killing people.

I'd have a much higher k/d if I didn't get murdered at the start of me playing, most games now I probably get 3/1 on k/d if not higher, have hit 10/1 an immeasurable amount of times too.

But whatever, you can hate and be jealous all you like, you're probably just shite at the game and are trying to make yourself feel better about it

My K/D ratio is 1.04(I think).

I dont camp.I nearly always have more kills than deaths.I also have an 8 year old son who likes using sniper rifles,but is also ****e at using said gun.(each round he might opnly get 3 kills and around 15 deaths)Hence my relatively crap K/D ratio.Thats my excuse and Im sticking to it!

I also think wingsofredemption is full of sh1t.

I used to have a K/D of 1.85 which was steadily rising. Then I realised that being hung up over ratios makes the game incredibly boring.

Now I just like to do things for fun. Stickies, throwing knives, executing snipers with a pistol. My ratio has gone down to 1.64 but my win loss has gone up. I didn't camp before but I was a lot more conservative and less willing to rush headfirst in.

Not only that but it is so much more fun when you don't care about ratios.

I have a k/d ratio of .5, my younger brother has a kill death ratio of 1. he tells me i suck balls, and you know what, i do. on the other hand I neither own a ps3 nor have one in the house and this is the first game I've played in depth since quake 1 - I'm also completing a masters whilst the brother has successfully dropped out of first year. there could be a correlation.

True I suck at mw2, but i enjoy the game even though i suck. and to anyone who would lord it over me with there mighty kill death ratio i say.... i have a girlfriend.

So let me get this straight , what you are saying is...
1.8 and above your good
below 1.8 is ok
1.2 and below and the game isnt for you
1 = average

so if everybody that had a kill/death ratio decided not to play since "its not for them" how would the stats look.

I used to play domination with a guy before and he used always go negitive but yet always on top of the leaderboard, he must be pretty bad eh ?
I have another group of friends that play hardcore tdm and they camp something awful but it works for them , both their k/d and w/l are over 2.5 but come up against me in domination , they get run over.

Now if you only ever play tdm and you have a k/d ratio of 1 i wouldnt say this game is not for you.
