    Sorry I couldn't help it.

Please don't start a debate over religion. This thread isn't a religious post - it's about myths and perceptions of Scientology and Scientologists.

    Cheers for all the posts.

I could go on and on for pages about this, but in several years of campaigning agaisnt them I've devised one simple point that I tell people.

the first thing you do in dianetics, the Oxford Capacity Test (the so called free personality test) is marked out of 200%.

Not out of 200, but 200%.

Never trust anyone or any organisation who can't do basic maths.

Fun video on how Scientology don't mess about

I watched some of their videos abut how they "helped" at 9/11, propaganda to the max

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

To turn their dangerous methods into a thread about "religion" is letting them win.
This country DOES NOT see it (rightly in my opinion) as a "religion".
To lump their money grabbing, family splitting, brainwashing business organisation into a religious debate gives the evil head bestards what they want - them in the same area as genuine ones.

The two should not be mixed.

I'm just sad that a decent Sci-Fi writer didn't start his own religion. The church of replicants would have been fantastic. All the free robot sex you could ever want.

They didn't want me in Abbey st either:eek: - but they did want my friend, and separated us into different rooms. I had to wait an hour for her to emerge, and they'd sold her their book!
LOL at L Ron Hubbard saying that the way to get rich is to start a religion.

its not exactly something i particularly revel in talking about, but when i was 18 (young stupid and depressed) i joined the church and ended up going over to birmingham. after four years, realised it was a load of ****e, i sought help from my brother and finally got away from them. not without a serious amount of hassle. im just thankful now im in my late twenties but doing a degree and trying to get my life back in order. i can say is the people they target are often the most vulnerable and needy. a lot of **** happened me in my teens and i was really just looking for someone to take me under their wing. its grand now looking back and realising that it was all a load of crap, but at the time i really believed it all. i really believed in the auditing and everything that was being fed to me. i only got to OT 3 but thankfully got out before i went any further. its easy for those on the outside to look in and laugh, but when you're apart of it, doubting anything is almost incomprehensible.

was it because you felt depressed that you think you were so easily drawn into scientology?

I would imagine that if you are depressed it is more easily to be drawn in.

Im in talks with a few, trying to sort out the most suitable candidate. I was hoping to turn it into a TV spin-off strictly come aliens or something but couldn't find a suitable network.

I like going into their offices on Abbey Street in Dublin and singing rebel songs at them.
...when I walk by that office and get asked on the street if I want a free personality test I normally yell "I'M A CLEAR OT3...BACK OFF! ZENU COMMANDS YOU!".

    Usually does the trick.

The Jesus of $cientology (L.Ron Hubbard) was a paranoid schizophrenic who hated psychiatrists.

Its a fact that every single $cientologist is completely f*cking nuts or just really stupid.

Perception: They're a bat**** crazy load of either fools or criminals.

    Myth: They are a religion.
