    2000, the first year of the noughties and the new millenium. What do you remember about this year?

    January - Dr Harold Shipman is found guilty of murdering 15 patients, although there were more than 250 deaths that may have been ascribed to him.
    About 80% of his victims were women. His youngest victim was Peter Lewis , a 41-year-old man

    And the awful Kursk submarine disaster - yet Nasty nick of big Brother's sneaky tactics made front page headlines in the papers while this tragedy was shifted to the inner pages!

    The hilarious thing about it was they didn't send enough tablets to each house. For example, I was sharing a house with 6/8 people at the time and I think we had 4 posted through the door.

    I got a fair bit of mileage after having a few pretending to knock next door for spare tablets due to an impending nuclear attack.
