I think that Lidl do great offers on meat products, always cheap yet great quality so yes, I'd think that their condoms would be good too.

The only difference is they have the CE mark on them and not the British standard 'kite' mark.

    Are these standards identical ?

I can't help myself. It has to be said.
I know the people who mentioned double-bagging were joking, but there are innocents abroad.

Using two condoms at the same time is not recommended for either safer sex or pregnancy prevention. In fact, "double-bagging" can increase the friction between the condoms during intercourse, making them more likely to rip or tear.

Linked article: Since March, the workshop had turned out 2.16 million unsterilised condoms labelled as Jissbon, “Durex”, “Rough Rider”, “Six Sense” and “Love Card”.

    Jissbon! :pac:...

Just browsing in Lidl today and passed the cosmetics section where the condoms are. I'd be afraid to use them cause they are not brand name. Anyone else feel the same? Its complete rubbish really when I think about it. None of em are 100% anyway!

You have to double them up to be sure to be sure. :pac:

Why would I worry, sure it's not my problem if it breaks.

No, the CE mark is mandatory and the British kite mark is voluntary. The kite mark is typically associated with schemes like ISO quality standards.

I am using them 2 years...... Orig bought them because they were fruity flavored but they are working fine so to speak.

tbh the only reason i buy them is that the bird in the chemist is good friends with my mam.

So is one with a kitemark "better" than one with just the CE mark

I'd say it was, the CE mark is just a minimum set of standards that the product must meet to go on sale in Europe, whereas if your part of the BSI ISO:9001 quality control system (there are other standards relating to other aspects of the business) you have to be able to trace the product from the work bench to the customer so that if anything goes wrong it can be dealt with quickly. You have to maintain those high standards and there are constant audits by an outside auditor not affiliated with the company.

Any condoms would be better than those approved of by the catholic church*!

*Made with a unique oneway valve to protect wearers from reverse contamination!
