Roll Call- The Introductions Thread

May aswell introduce meself

I'm Mary but I get other versions such as Máire, Mol and the odd name that I'd prefer not to mention

I'm 16 a little older then alot here

I like sports I guess,play rugby and soccer, like most sports, played county in football in my younger days . . Those were the days

Other things I like would be music, play violin! Playstation I suppose, chilling oh and how could I forget not being in school!!

And who cares about age? It doesn't matter here in my honest opinion.

Yeah, I suppose so. Blue tag as well but I had to stop due to injury (I get a lot of injuries: I've broken : left wrist, right elbow, right shin, right ankle, both little fingers twice each, both little toes + sprains, pulled muscles etc.) and I can't go back till the summer. :mad:

Aren't you unlucky!!! Did all those breaks include TKD or just random accidents? Right shin! Owzies!!!

Not all TKD, thankfully, if they were there'd be no way I'd be allowed do it! Yeah, the shin was a killer, I had a cast and it was during the summer (a couple of years ago when it was still sunny during the summer) so it was really annoying!

Its hard to stay on topic but if you think about it, its about getting to know people and what other way can you do that then chatting?

A girl who's 17 in a few months is in my year too. It doesn't matter, she's one of my best friends.

I'm 46 and taking Junior Cert. Music this year with some kids I teach.

I've also corrected Junior Cert. in the past, though not Music (I wish).

Is it just music your doing spurious? I was going to do it last year but decided not to just because I'd have to do it this years anyways!

Some of the kids I teach would not be terribly fond of education and exams.
It's partly for the craic and partly to let them see that no matter what age they are, they can still go back and do their Junior or Leaving or whatever.

I actually sat 'Music and Music Appreciation' in the Inter. Cert. in 1978 and got an A in it, but I had no instrument. I have recently taken to making strangled noises from a concertina so I thought I'd give it a lash with the 3rd years.

I'm quite sure they think I'm mental, but in years to come if even one of them remembers the mad oul' one who did JC when she was real old and decides to go back to education themselves it will be worth it.

Ah fair play to ya! Bet the course has changed alot since then.
Concertina is a lovely instrument though!

Bah, I preety much stalk this forum so might as well introduce myself.

I'm Sarah. 15, 16 in march. Did the JC last year and i'm now in 4th year or 5th year (whatever people call it. I'm doing my LC next year!).
I love the aul gaa and am a huge limerick gaa supporter.

Me and deise_girl won best couple in the C&H awards and i also won best beard

i also got best newcomer in the gaa forum awards. I'm obsessed about Paramore and john and edward.

Schoolwise, im a science nerd but i am despising LC honours maths at the moment. I've also discovered this year that i have a knack for english writing

i won't be a published author or anything but hey!

Anyways... That's me for ya! And i'll continue to stalk this forum no matter what any of ye say!
