In fairness anyone who drinks Bulmer's Pear isn't really in a position to cast aspersions on anyone else :p

And when did I "cast aspersions"...settle. And as opposed to those who drink pints of carslberg, heini, guinness, apple bulmers?..anyhow, as I stated at the beginning, this is not about the alleged laxitive effects of pear bulmers, so catch up...

I can't drink out of a pint glass - by the time I get to the end whatever is in the glass has gone flat and is slightly warm. I'm too slow. :(

Buy pint then pour into glass

    It's cheaper to do that.

When I used to drink larger I always ordered a pint and asked for a glass of ice.

Ice ended up in one of the plant pots in the pub and I had my two glasses of larger only cheaper than if I had ordered them separately.

And what about the poor potted plant?

It was forever grateful for the slowly melting water I provided, as the pub certainly didn't.

Just thinking of those poor plants, many of them no doubt at your local watering hole, the Hartbreak Hotel. Sitting on the floor, hoping to pick up a cute little hydrangia or maybe a sultry chrysanthenum. Then you come along and ruin their evening by pouring ice and resulting meltwater over them.

    Its not easy being green.

I love my pints but I couldn't drink them all night, I normally have them when I am doing a bit of afternoon drinking while watching a football match or whatever. (Although normally I am not paying much attention to the match, its just an excuse to go to the pub at 2pm)

I drink "girlie" drinks (vodka and tonic mostly) but I'd drink pints if I didn't have poor wheat/yeast tolerance.

    Same here.

Beer gives me serious Belly ache so I have JD's and ice.

I love Jack Danniels so much.

The first time I seen girls drinking pints was in Bruxelles in Dublin when I was 15ish (and so were the girls :))

Must admit I did find it odd as I was used to seeing female relatives drink larger out of the slender half pint glasses.

I thought it was just a Rocker Chick thing but slowly started to see more and more girls drinking pints.

I do think it's very sexy to see girls drinking beer from a bottle though :)

Was out today, and I had 5 pints..(pear bulmers, but that's a whole other thread...). Have had a comment on a phone call from a guy to say even he wouldn't drink that muchso what do ye all think about the wimmins and the pints?..(have done a search to see if it was discussed lately and can't see it was)...hit me
You think you're bad? I know a girl who wouldn't say boo to a ghost but get her out on the town and she'd be downing pint bottles of bulmers - from the bottle!!!

Has anyone seen that new add on tv for women drinking just wine:( And it says if you are a woman you are at higher risk of so many things. So imagine what the pints and other drinks are doing :(

if i see a small girl drinking a pint i find it strangely attractive........

A women drinking "glasses" to be ladylike is really a thing of the past. Any girl in the know will know this. You'd no less of a lady in my books anyway. Any guy that thinks otherwise, then I really wouldn't worry about him (unless he's your hubby I suppose).:)

I really cant believe the amount people worry about the container drinks come in. It really doesnt matter.

How does a girl drinking pints look unladylike/butch? A gorgeous blonde I know drinks pints of Guinness and I dont think to many lads would kick her out of the bed for it.

I like beer so I drink pints when I go to the pub. The onlt time I drink bottles is at home cos they are too expensive to drink out. Id end up drinking a heap of them.

Id usually have 3 or 4 pints and then if Im feeling a bit full Ill have a JD or something.

But it wouldnt cross my mind that I shouldnt be drinking a pint cos I am woman.

I drink pints of beer/cider when I'm out. And so do most of my female friends. I would drink more if I didn't need to pee all the time. It's ridiculous.

People who have problems with women drinking pints need help. I recall a chap coming up ordering x drinks then a bottle of coors. I asked does he want a glass. He replied 'yes. But not a lady glass'. I knew what he meant sadly but played him for a fool all the same.

Many women of all ages come into my bar and drink pints from Guinness to Coors and I don't have an issue with it. Why should pints be restriced to men?

    Are you a manly woman?

Apparently, he rolls his own tampons.
