Was out today, and I had 5 pints..(pear bulmers, but that's a whole other thread...). Have had a comment on a phone call from a guy to say even he wouldn't drink that muchso what do ye all think about the wimmins and the pints?..(have done a search to see if it was discussed lately and can't see it was)...hit me

When I was younger I used to spend most of the nights on pints...I could have about 7 or 8. Now I can't even have one, I feel way too full and bloated. Although, I can't even have a bottle of Bulmers, let alone a pint, so it's probably just that my taste has changed, not my capacity

Five pints of anything would have me in and out of the loo like a yo-yo. If you can hold your drink, whether you're man or woman, then that's fine. But I've known too many people who can't, and just get drunk for the sake of it. I've no time for them.

I used to drink pints in my younger days when i could hold my drink better. It meant i didn't have to go up to the bar as much! Nowadays though i usually get a bottle or glass. With ice in glass if im trying to take it easy.

He's likely lying - and just saying it to justify his pining for women to be "ladylike" and drink pretty, fruity drinks.

I drink "girlie" drinks (vodka and tonic mostly) but I'd drink pints if I didn't have poor wheat/yeast tolerance.

Women drinking pints is a bit of a turn off, i have to say. looks too butch for my liking. don't see too many of them though

Wimmens can drink what they want when they want... most of my female friends drink pints... doesnt seem butch to me... makes it easier for rounds too... although they can be a little slow sometimes.... grr

Re: the fruity thing. I love wine, but hate drinking wine in pubs, especially when it's from an already opened bottle, and no choice, and secondly, I would drink vodi or a gorgeous bombay and tonic all night...but pub measures are ridiculously small and expensive...I do occasionally succumb to the vicious shorts or wine after a while...
