    Hi,

Purchased an online version of a pc game (that you can download directly to your PC). .

Had nothing but problems . . There are patches for the game but the online shop says that they dont work with the version they sold me. .

Trying to get a refund (and will just buy it in a shop here) but they are not getting back to me .

Basically I am saying that they did not sell me a working version of the game . . I can only get into the first month (not even a fraction of the game) of the game and it consistently crashes . .

Any advice would be appreciated . .

If buying games online, I would always use Steam as the games are self patching.

If possible I would try and download the game again - its possible some elements were corrupted. Do you have a checksum for the download file - you could validate the integrity of the file

    Thanks for reply . .

Not really sure what Steam means (bit illiterate when it comes to buying online!).

Just wished I bought it in a store . .
