Well I guess its good the issue is being discussed but I hope those in power go beyond the often empty words and actually ensure vacant houses are being used by those who need them and those houses that need repair work get funding as soon as possible.

According to that there are 25 houses ready - bar minor repairs.

That's 25 families potential homes, if we were to assume most are 2 adults and 2 children, that's 100 people sorted, and bringing in revenue for them to repair the other houses, and list is down to 600.

But that would be sensible.

yes, i have clean clothes again, after two weeks so far without a washing machine, due to burst pipes and a then flooded machine, took a bag full of dirty clothes home to mammy, although it was touch and go when the second load had to be stopped due to the water being switched off for the night due to rationing

dont worry, i loaded the machine my self and hung the clothes to dry

Same here, I had to move all the beer cans and send them to the recycle bin. Replaced the empties yesterday.

I think I'm the only one so far it hasn't seem to have affected, I wasn't trying to get online, actually I think I was a bit of a hermit during the times, didn't even hear it on the news.
