I accidently wrote down the wrong exam number (0 instead of a 6 :o) I assume there shouldn't be any trouble, just that I lose anonymity?

nah, unless the system has changed in the last few months you'd have to have also gotten your seat number and portal password wrong to lose anonymity. They're all part of the redundancies built into the system.

3 down 2 to go, I have been lucky this year with at least a day gap between each exam, unlike some of my class mates :/

just looking at the optional module options on my course atm, i'm probably crazy for even asking about this, but is it possible to do extra modules and do more than the normal 60 credits for the year?

I don't know about anyone else, but it'd be super handy to have the answers to some of the past papers..

Preferably the *right* answers so I could check the work I do.

I'm doing out past papers without knowing if I'm right or wrong.

I know what you mean, sometimes it's hard to know what is expected of you, and I'm doing science which is fairly black and white!

Computer Applications here.. But for the maths related subjects, how in the world can you tell if you're wrong or right?!

Even comparing with your friends, everyone could be wrong, especially if you're unsure about what you're doing

It just seems obvious that if they're gonna supply past papers that they should supply answers too.

Seeing as how they've managed to put some of the past papers in upside down I wouldn't hold much hope :D

I've had a few half and half.. which is really annoying if you print them out double sided -_-

Did you ask the lecturer for past examples?

    genius!

what do you do on the other hand when a lecturer has a ton of blank gaps where the equations should be, such and such an essential equation is....."blank" and you ask them to put them in and they still dont.

the papers are just exact copies of what were given out, are they not? Maybe you need to learn it off....

Anyway, why is the main hall so cold?? its horrible, not helpful for passing exams!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,028 ✭✭✭✭--LOS--

    coz its so big!
sorry, i meant in the notes, not the exam papers!

Probably. Ah ok, best bet is to go to his/her office directly, or else just look it up in a book. Pretty poor form for them not to put it in though. Also maybe double check that its not just not coming up on your computer because you fon't have something installed or whatever, but this is unlikely.

nah its not a software conflict, Ive been through it with them before, lost cause. Doesnt bother me, rather work from a book most times anyway, its just bad form. Think Id rather the cold of the main hall than the noise of the mahony hall, its so echoy in there.
