Driving Test in Irish

    I applied for my driving test months back and selected to do it in Irish, just got a text to say it's next Monday, I can speak Irish without too much difficulty, has anyone here done the this? I'm afraid of not understanding some technical terms and looking like a clown if I have to revert back to Bearla.

    There was a publication 'Rialacha an bhóthair' which helped me through any technical terms at the time I did it . If you log on to rsa.ie the Road Safety Authority has pages of the terms you'll need.

    I did the test through Irish 2 and a half years ago. An Gal Gréine is spot on - you'll get the terminology from Rialacha an Bhóthair. The rest of the stuff you'll hear is your basic "Cas ar dheis/ar chlé" - all that stuff.

    I took some lessons through Irish from a native speaker driving instructor and he said that even if you have applied to do it in irish, on the day of the test you can do it in English no problem :)

    Well I passed my test, the tester spoke to me in English and I didn't mention anything about the Irish as things were going smoothly and didn't want to rock the boat.
