    Howdie,

    I received my HD+ box today from the courier for a self install, no problems getting it in, up and running. It was only this evening that I realised that my seperate DVD-Recorder was receiving audio only from the HD+ box.

    I currently have them organised something like this ...

    TV ->- HDMI ->- HD+

    HD+ ->- SCART ->- DVD Recorder

    DVD Recorder ->- HDMI ->- TV

    I know the HD+ box records, but I often burn off the saved shows onto DVD to keep the hard drive free, so I want to keep that aspect working.

    If I simplify it down even further by running Scart and HDMI to the TV, whilst watching the Scart, I only have audio but once the HDMI lead is popped out, video comes on immediately. I'm assuming the HD+ box can only output video through the HDMI or the Scart but not both ?

    Does anyone know if there is a way to enable it to output both ?

    Any help would be much appreciated !

    What's this "self install" thing....:eek:

    Does this mean now I can skip the install fee and get HD added for €2.50 P/M?

    Edit: Actually just been on the UPC site and see it's fiver a month and €40 connection fee? - I thought it was originally €2.50 P/M?

    HD+ is now priced the same as digital+ which is €5 a month.

    I would imagine the box is set up like that to deter "piracy". The fact that the USB port is disabled is further evidence of this.
