Insulating around a loft ladder?

Hi, I had a loft ladder installed this year. I currently have a problem with condensation in the attic. How can I go about stopping warm air passing through the loft ladder? Can you insulate behind it Cheers

Put insulation on top of the ladder hatch and overlap it slightly. Make sure their is a vapour barrier on the insulation. having a rubber gasket around the hatch may be useful.
