aaahhh...lazy afternoon spent catching up on House, Chuck and 30 Rock. Still in my pjs :D contemplating going shopping in a while...

House...probably the best series ever produced. I must say the latest episode was definitely in my top 5. Bought the first five seasons on amazon three weeks ago. Best 50 quid ive ever spent.

:) Correct Mr Monkey, came home for the weekend, was back at 5 on Friday, will be heading back about 6 or 7 today. Shame on Ms Dice for getting us mixed up  :D

Ah yes the ole loneliness, the reason I come home every weekend, the housemates in Galway go home for some of the weekend as well and I don't know anyone up there only work folk, I reckon a weekend up there would for me be rather lonely. In saying that I got a lash of the sad and lonelies last night after I came home, strolling around The Lough at 4am doing some thought gathering :o Did the trick though, was up at 10.15 this morning and feel fine, usually I have a mega snooze on a Sunday and get up approaching one depressed about the weekend being almost over, seems to be loads of it left now :D

'tis tough working away from home and it can be very lonely, we all get lonely from time to time :)

Morning all! Never been so tired.. Spent the weekend watching the playoffs. Stayed up till 9 in the morning then on Saturday. My friends decided it was a good idea to call into me after clubbing cause I was still up watching the game! lol. Good times though!

How is everyone this happy Monday?:)

    Hi all :)
Just a btw I reckon a person who doesn't have a physically demanding job wouldn't smell of bo etc for 3 days or so, just an opinion but the obcession with showering is looney nowadays. Some folks think it's a disgrace to shower at night and then not again the following morning, if there has been no "fun" in bed I don't see the issue :)

I just hate getting up without a hot shower. I don't mind how early I have to get up, but if there's no shower forget it.

Thing is though I was up drinking until 9 am or so Sunday morning! Went to bed for a few hours then got up and lazed around the house hungover... followed by another late night thanks to the Playoffs and then I was too tired to get up this morning for a shower before work. lol man!

I still feel hung over! :(

But I can't wait now to just get home and cook the steaks we have marinading! Mmmm...

Playoffs ? American football or something ? Excuse my ignorance :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,088 ✭✭✭NoDice

Yeah! I've decided to get into it cause I've a new obsession with moving to America. Getting there but it's so much more complex than Rugby so it's taking a bit longer to get used to the terminology & rules. But really good game despite all the ads! :)

Decided to start following a team just cause I thought they'd get the upset win last night! All the lads laughed at me! And I was right!! Woo hoo! So tired from watching it though...

All i know from my endless sunday nights in my friends house watching American football is that the steelers(apparently the bullies of AF) did crap and are gone and that the underdogs the ravens?, are doing well. Thats about as far as my american football knowledge stretches to. (Oh and that the cowboys have nice hats... :D )

The Ravens beat the Raiders to get to the Playoffs, but the Raiders are meant to be one of the worst teams! :D The Colts destroyed the Ravens on Saturday! That was a good match. And yesterday The Jets beat the Chargers.

If I was to compare that last game to Rugby, it was kind of like in the Tri Nations SA won and beat the All Blacks. I had a feeling SA would win despite being an All Blacks fan, cause they were on fire during the Lions tour and got all the practice in! So the Chargers were on a winning streak but their offense was down whilst the Jets defense is one of the best in the League!

Kind of a boring match though but everyone was expecting the Chargers to win!! :D

    The end.

    Off to lunch! Num num!
