i recently opened an ac with them and got credit of 350.
i made an order and it kept being rejected and i didnt know why.
i eventually found out i had to make an initial payment of 10 euro which i did.
now they are saying i need to make an initial payment of 20 euro and a different address to send it to than where i sent the first one

can someone tell me what is the procedure when making an order PLEEEEASE

I would ring them, I've been with them years, and have set up accounts for friends and I've never had that problem. I would ask them why you need to sent payment also, as i've never heard of that before, I know they have moved their offices recently so it most likely explains the reason why you needed to send the €20 to a different address.

I'd get my money back and walk away. Count yourself lucky. Littlewoods charge a massive interest on those credit purchases, more than credit cards even.

Moved to Online Buyign & Auctions

The E350 credit probably came with Terms & Conditions attached. Do you have a copy of those?

I found out this after I'd opened the account.
Needless to say I cleared it off instantly(I'd spent €100) with the credit card, considering the interest on that is much lower.

Besides, their prices aren't much different from the high street

Wouldn't go near them again. They are robbers.

Probably because some people cant afford stuff unless it's on "credit", sure isnt that rate much the same as provident (think they are 40%). I have used littlewoods in the past as thhe free delivery can be handy BUT i pay it off in full, otherwise you would spend a lifetime paying something off:eek:

Its worse than that - its 39.9%

But what the worst element of all is the AUTOMATIC credit account you are given, thus a ridiculous enticement to purchase and pay off in installments.

The other issue is unless you look for it, you will not see the interest rate advertised.

And finally the are SOOO EXPENSIVE in the first place.

    AVOID AT ALL COSTS

    AVOID LITTLEWOODS IRELAND.
set up an order two weeks ago, my bank account was charged, but the order never came so i rang them them today and they tell me my account and order were cancelled, after telling them my bank accont was charged and asked why they didnt bother to ring me and tell me it was cancelled they basiclly told its not there problem and right a letter to there dublin office, they then told me they would put on to the dublin office (which is a joke since its a dublin number i rang yet i get an english office) and then they hang up on me. They're a joke avoid at cost, i know have to get on to my bank to get try and get my money back from them. there a scam i bet they dont have a dublin office, better spending your money with a company that are in ireland not one that just put ireland on the end of there name

I recently ordered Marseille Over Mantle Mirror price €172 on 19th September, delivery time stated on website was 4 days product arrived on 30th September some 11 days later. Following day I was in Dunes Stores in Blanchardstown and to my surprise I saw the identical same mirror, same brand selling for €120 some €52 cheaper than I had I paid Littlewoods Ireland, note the mirror in Dunes Stores was not on special offer nor was it on any kind of promotion.

Also the product I received was faulty in that it did not sit flush against the wall and the mantelpiece, there was at least 2" distance between the mirror and the wall at the top of the mirror.
I contacted their customer service staff by email with my initial complaint of late delivery and overpricing. They never bothered to read the complaint and apologised for my not receiving the mirror, which was not at all what I said.
Some emails later and on the 3rd occasion of telling them to escalate my complaint to a Manager I get a call this morning from an arrogant Manager who blatantly tells me they do not price match other companies.

LittlewoodsIreland.ie are robbers and the public should be aware of this, they charge exorbitant prices and do not have any regard for customers or customer complaints.

    So be warned shop elsewhere!!!!
