    Hello,

Is it possible to get a Coaxial to Optical converter(adapter) that doesn't need to be plugged into a power socket?

    Regards

I don't think so, unless you find one that is battery operated.
Somehow electrical signals have to be converted into light signals or vice versa.

Had this problem myself before Xmas and after doing a bit of research had no choice but to go with the powered converters. Work perfectly though so Im happy.
