Cheap/reliable courier for UK/EU delivery

Anyone recommend a good/cheap courier service that they may have used to ship to UK or EU before? Package is over 4KG as far as I remember.

The local posties have it at UK(€40) and EU(€55). That seems extortionate to me. I am based in Portlaoise so any local(laois/Offaly) one or one that is not local but collects from you and delivers it would be great. I am going to ring around tomorrow but anyone that could give me a head start would be great. Thanks.

This is some broker from DHL

Also i know this: http://www.parcels2go.ie but never used.

Their service includes pick-up and delivery, and prices seem quite good.

Check these guys out, cost is based on package size and not weight. Have used them before and they were MUCH cheaper than UPS/DHL/FEDEX...

Its like ebay where companies bid for your business. For me they couriered 4 alloy wheels + tyres from birmingham to dublin for 40 euro.

The problem with GLS for me is that the don't come pick up at your house, you have to bring to them.
