    What I want to know is, is there any way we could convince PayPal that he is obviously scamming her. I don't understand how they can look at the facts and favor his version of events.


    Okay, here is what you need to do, contact PayPal and tell them that nyou received a package containing two comics instead of a phone, they will then close your case for non receipt and open a case for an item not as described. As what you have described is fraud they will ask you to supply a copy of a police report(you get your local Garda to sign or stamp a brief statement. if you explain to him/her that it is just for recording/paypal purposes you should be able to get this easy enough,if not try a diff station as PP will not proceed without it) submit this to PP ,they verify it and then issue your refund. Simple,

    I once worked in the department that handles this stuff so have a pretty fair idea of the way it works

    you worked in the resolution department and you were able to close one complaint and open a different complaint on the same item ? impressive i wasnt when i was there as a floor walker. how things have changed.

    No, I worked in Pro Serv, they brought this in about 12 months ago. For some countries the user can change it online but for Irish accounts it must be done by an agent-

    about time ! i did not like talking to customers at 9am on a Sunday morning telling them they couldnt change the type and they would most likely loose their money

    I sold something on email last weekend. The buyer transferred the money to my account on Sunday. I can see the balance in my account but I can't access the money as its still pending 6 days later. Does anyone know what the problem might be? I'm reluctant to send the item until the transfer has completely cleared.

    If it says Pending it means that its an echeque they call it.
    They are transferring the money from their bank account, which takes a number of days (depending on what country they are in).
    at the moment you do not have the money and if when paypal goes to their bank account they do not have the funds in their account you will not be paid.
    you should not send the item until the money is in your account.

    If they buyer is pushing for you to send the item trying to tell you that you have been paid i would be very wary of them

    hi, last week i bought an item on the internet and the seller has not sent the item or replyed to my e-mails. i have reported the seller to pay pal. how can i get my funds back?

    will i have to link my bank account to my pay pal account to recieve the funds back? i opened my account a few months ago with a 3v card which has since expired..

    when paypal refunds money it will go directly back to the credit card that it was taken from.

    no idea about when you will get your money back, depends on your situation.

    did you not pay for it last week ?
    paypal will only transfer the funds back into the payment source. its automatic.
    the money will go back to your 3v account and you will have to transfer it to a new one (costs of course)

    actually i missed that part... did you get it from ebay ?
    If you did have a look on the page it will tell you how much you are covered by paypal by.
    usually for all of it with the items im looking at.

    If you win the dispute then you will get it all back.

    If you didnt get it from ebay then paypal doesnt back it as much. hopefully you did ?

    How did you source the payment last week? Was it from the same 3V card that's now expired, or a different source? The money will not go back to your Paypal account, unless that's where it came from in the first place.

    its been a while since I registered on ebayie. last time I used entropay prepaid visa to verify my seller account.

    Is it still the case that you can verify a seller account with a virtual visa?? or do they require a phone number nowadays? I heard you got both options and could choose...?

    What about banks, I never added my bank to paypal, as i was just selling old unwanted stuff, I just used the funds for my sales to buy stuff for myself on ebay.

    I bought 3 cds over the Christmas on ebay. I contacted the seller and he gave me the postage for 1-3 cds. But the total coming up on ebay and paypal is far higher.

    Can I reduce the payment amount on paypal or should I just contact the seller?

    add credit card or a 3v card in the "add credit card" in your "edit profile" section then as your funding source,taking your friends email address you enter their email addy,the amount you want to send and the source for the payment which would be your 3v/credit card...

    what i would suggest to you if you have an old used 3v one lying around or on the paypal account do a mock payment,instance go through it all but stop before actually sending final payment,reason i suggest this is sometimes there is a small fee for sending money and theres nothing annoying as been short on 3v!

    I had a 3v card but i lost it and i went on the site and they said they would send me out a new one but it never arrived so i have to buy a new one just cant remember where i got it

    Hey all. Is the easiest way to get people to put a sum of money into my paypal account through sending them all an email? Or is there a way of linking them to my account? I'm organizing a trip away but we need to split a deposit. we're talking 18 people here.

    Registered for a 3v card and would like to use it to fund a Paypal account (since, among other things it seems to cost money to redeem the leftover on a 3V card, so i'm thinking if I put it all through Paypal I'd be able to access all of the money).

    Does anyone know what fees, if any, there would be for this?
    It says on the Paypal site that there are no fees for funding your account with your bank account, but it says nothing that I can see about 3V cards (or credit cards, which I assume are treated the same).

    dont think you can actually load funds on to paypal account,im open to correction on that,there would be the €1.50 subcharge which is refundable within 24 hours this is a security charge to make sure you own the card,anyways heres guide here hopefully it clear it up

    personally for myself i use 3v vouchers for funds,so god forbid if my account ever got hacked only thing they would be taking would be a used 3v voucher :P

    Possible, but you'll need to pre-load your money into your Paypal account, and it could take from 3-7 days for the money to appear. You can't use your account like you can with the credit card, they can't (or won't) debit it directly.

    Not quite convenient, but it doesn't cost you money like 3V does.

    Yeah my thinking was that I'd just keep €30-50 in the paypal account and then if I ever need a big purchase or to transfer back I'll just wait the transfer out.

    I assumed they'd need access to your online banking account to do this and not just the Paypal account?

    It's safe enough to use a bank account with Paypal. If you register your bank account with Paypal, it can only be used to withdraw money to the bank, you cannot fund money into Paypal from the bank. To transfer money to Paypal, you need to set them up as a recipient for online or phone banking, then you can transfer money to them.
