Went down in my local all right, pints of Harp now at 4.25 instead of 4.40. Interestingly this coincided with an across the board increase on soup and sandwiches, tea coffee and biscuits in the pub.

Booze seems to be coming down a lot more than the budget cut.

Didn't check when I was in. I'm lousy at checking my change. I assume that they would pass on the reduction as it's that type of place.

That's pretty sweet, after ten beers you'll have saved 1.50.

/kills self trying to save 1.50

€3.00 for a pint of the local brew on Mondays and 3.50 the rest of the week, couldn't care less what all the foreign drinks cost..Gypsy Blonde all the way:)

One of my locals dropped it right after the budget. Was €4.85 now a bargain at only €4.70. We rarely go to the pub anymore. Just get a crate of beer when they're cheap and have lots of sessions.

Way more fun but our couple of single friends still wanna go out clubbing the odd time to try score. They NEVER score. So when they realise they're too ugly to ever be loved we'll all be saving loads more dosh.

Most pubs my neck of the woods dropped prices by 10c across the board, i decided to be an ass and pipe up asking why they didnt drop at least the 12c promised in the budget...
Was swiftly told where to go...

Guinness went from €4.00 to €3.50 in several pubs here, happy days.

Edit: Pubs are in Loughrea, Co. Galway.

Any chance we can start naming the pubs in question? Some nice prices out there, wouldn't mind knowing where the cheap pints are at.

Hi erinGoBrath my local in city centre is a lot more reasonable than any prices I have seen on boards. Beamish 3.40 Guinness 4.00 Lagers are 4.60 and on Monday and Tuesday all the pints are 3.50.I have only finished work and couldnt resist a quick pint on my way home,(had to check out the prices ;)). Im sitting in my local now having my first drink since new years day. Im in a lovely warm pub with a nice atmosphere and a friendly barman. What more could you want on a freezing cold snowy January day?:):):):):)
