I still think each province should have its own thread, 142000 views and everything is just crammed with reports from every side of the country, i suggested this when the cold spell begun but got no response from Mod.

that happened over on netweather and it became a mess. with ireland being so small what effect one province usually leads to effecting the next one to it so the national thread is better i think

Apparently so, according to the radio. The buses are parked on the side of the road until further notice.

Tried to get on the DB website there. It said Server too Busy

I got it to load finally, Last Updated 12:45

No official word on why the buses are stopped. Guy texted Newstalk saying buses are parked up around North Circular road, causing more obstruction haha

Can't wait to tune into Dublin City FM 103.2 from 4pm on, to hear all of the mayhem that's happening around the place. He does good traffic reports

Just back from a walk around before the snow closed in again.
Snow over my wellies in places!
Measured level snow in a wide open field of 26cm
    Not bad!

Have a weather station?, why not join the Ireland Weather Network - http://irelandweather.eu/

Hows Donegal looking now at present?

I have to say Harolds Cross looks fantastic, dry powdery snow!

I have to say that Dublin bus are 100% correct to cease services until the roads have been gritted...I came home there at lunchtime from college and it was absolutely tretchorous, the bus was sliding all over the place as well as spinning!

At the end of the day, they would be liable for any injury to a passenger if their was an accident!

Think it's time to take a stand!

Isnt it technically a 'snowwoman' then, or just a very confused snowman? :p

Same here in the midlands - it looks like the outer part of that band is brushing by here, I can see it snowing over Clara direction but it is a high cirrusy type cloud, so I guess its just a glancing blow - yet again. Snow shield is working too well....

Snow pellets here now , did someone say earlier that it means a heavier shower is on route ?

An answer to my own question yes it does !
