Best free editing software?

    Hi guys,

    Just doing some basic editing of photos/video clips for a group of friends and I'm wondering what the best free editing software for windows is? I've used Windows Movie Maker and Microsoft Photo Story. Anything better out there?

    They are wmv, jpg and Quicktime files for the most part. Music files would be wma and mp3.
