Onkyo 507 vs Sony STR-DH800 ?

im looking to join the HD audio bandwagon and these seem to be fairly similarly priced HD amps, both seem to have a similar spec the only thing jumping out at me is the Sony is 7.1 and the Onkyo is 5.1 i understand they both LPCM and bitstream audio, so those bases are covered im looking for opinions on each? im not really…

im not really looking to spend more on say a denon et al, as im going to have to pick some speakers to buy aswell

Hi.
If it was me to choose i would go for onkyo.
Sony only ES series...
Whats Ur budget including speakers?
