Great to finish the look of the artillery model, but I'd be surprised if enough peoples lugers still worked.

I havent seen this posted here before, and a cursory searched showed nothing, so....

WE Type 91 gas blowback. Looks the business. The real deal version is in use with the Republic of China (Taiwan) army, and a few Arab states.

    Me want.

They have miles of that awful fabric with the sham-cam pattern on it, and a room full of mammies sowing up all sorts of sh1te.

Multicam mittens, multicam scarf, multicam little ear muffs! I would prefer more replica's of real equipment, and less teddy bear ears on fleeces and random rags of cloth. Multicam feckin' tea cosy.

I was just about to post that too, the general advice from Arnies was to avoid the site for the moment

As if there weren't other reasons to avoid them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,561 ✭✭✭andy_g

yeah just seen it too ESET jumped in and stopped the site earlier

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,205 ✭✭✭Firekitten

Some looney anti gun nut probably flagged it with thier isp as a dangerous site... ive had it happen before with innocent sites.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,401 ✭✭✭Shiva

Its not a false-positive as far as I can see - Kaspersky reports an attempt to load a known Trojan.

as an aside i received a lot of spam from ebaybanned recently selling antibiotics, human growth hormone...etc

    some other news
    ur-tactical.com

they do a lot of real multicam, acu tactical gear...quite expensive but they have a new site (which looks a lot like the old site as it happens)

they have 15% off with a coupon code

    COUPON CODE:
    grand opening

    Best Regards,

    UR-TACTICAL TEAM
    www.ur-tactical.com

i never ordered from them however, but they do have a biggish ebay account as well..

I gave them one more chance by ordering a pair of gloves, and asking them to imburse me with the cookie monster jacket in exchange for the bowman...

I have little hope of success.

JHC Doc, why, oh why must you insist in ordering from Ebaybanned - even tho you say time and time again - NEVER NO NEVER AGAIN!

This time - just say "you've no one else to blame - cept yourself."

FYI, Elcan's Specter (sic) OS4X is the sight the British Army has chosen to replace the SUSAT. They call it the Light Weight Day Sight. That's just a little military joke, the scuttlebutt is that it works well but it weighs a ton. It's a simplified version of this DR, but unfortunately the DR is differently shaped enough that you couldn't use it for an up-to-date L85A2 look.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,261 ✭✭✭Puding

yes the British army got one made to there own specs to replace the susat, went for a fixed 4x mag without the red dot function

unfortuntley the clone is not a replica of the British version, someone over on Arnies was kind en enough to link to info on the OS4X (the one you linked to is not the british version)

    http://www.elcan.com/ELCAN_News/Bulletins/documents/SpecterOS4xSpecSheet.web.pdf

    http://www.elcan.com/ELCAN_News/Bulletins/UKMoDSole-SourceSupplier.html
the scuttlebutt is that it works really well but it weighs a ton.

not really rumor all the elcans weight a ton tbh its there major downside with the complete line, was pretty much the universal feedback form the scar trials, dr works great after gen 2 but its like strapping a brick to your top rail :)

did the acog ever make it passed trials thought, i know from articles they where running acogs and eotechs thought there paces on the 85 but never came across anything about them releasing in anything other than limited numbers

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,478 ✭✭✭Chuck the Buck

Was the ACOG not an interim replacement for the SUSAT until their OS4X was out? Can't remember where I read that now...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,045 ✭✭✭OzCam

Probably they ordered a batch of ACOGs for testing. Anyway, they've just ordered 10,000+ of the OS4X, so that's going to be the main one from now on. They seem to be standardising on Eotechs for the short range stuff, like shotguns & MP5s.

yes i;ve seen them as well, when i referred to testing i meant field testing as there not being issued as standard for the 85 in the field in any way from what i could tell as you where getting them showing up the odd one hear and there
    Leftyflip wrote: »

hehe why is it mad, eotech means fast reaction both eyes open to keep your peripheral vision prefect for reflex shooting with a shotgun :)

If it helps I did laugh a small bit, but it still needs a picture.

royal marine: where did you say you got it from?

the conversation is restricted to airsoft
