Are you sure it was actually closed. The main door is broken so you have to use the fire escape at the side.

Where was this? and what excuse did they give you? The whole point of reserving stuff is to ensure it is going to be in stock, I would have gone mental if they had gone and sold something I had reserved.

Theyre on Point of Sale! No-way of reserving them anyway isn't there?

It was the Omni Centre in Santry. I couldn't figure out what I would achieve by going mad. They couldn't upgrade me as they were the only chocolate they sold.

You can reserve them from the links in the original post. I ordered 10 and got a confirmation email & text saying they are there for collection up to monday evening.

Yes I know that, but the Choc Oranges are mostly kept out on the shop floor, there no way someone at the tills could stop someone from picking it up and buying it. Don't think that reserving it will guarantee you any at all, I may be wrong, but I doubt it.

As i said earlier, all shutters were down and no lights on, so I reckon they were closed:D:D

I can understand they would have them on the floor, many would not expect them to be sold there, but seeing as they are listed online and you can actually reserve them then that would make me presume that you can indeed reserve them, and that they would be kept in the back, just like any other product, the system seems to be working, some are in stock in some stores, some are not. I don't really see why you would doubt it so much, has anybody here gone in and collected a reservation yet?

It's easy to pop in to your local store and buy your items straightaway but stock of some items can be very limited so they may be out of stock by the time you get there.

With Check & Reserve, you can make sure it's ready for you before you leave home! If items are in stock when you place your reservation, they will be held in store for you until the end of the next working day. If it's not in stock, we'll order it in for you and let you know when it's ready for collection.

I did in the North. There was an empty Terrys display stand out front and I feared the worst but when I paid for my reservation the stock was brought out from the back :):D

When the sales clerk types in the code, it will appear as out of stock, and they won't be able to process the sale (as it's reserved).

Just got 28 Chocolate Oranges for free :pac:

Had a 5 euro Argos voucher from buying stuff before Xmas.

Went in to get 14 of them for a total of €4.90 to be told they were still 2 for 1 at the 35c price.

Everyone in my family will be getting choc oranges for presents in the near future. LOL.

    Many thanks to the OP.

    Bought some other stuff though

Same thing happened me in Nutgrove.Bit of a joke to be honest. Apparently they had been stolen. No point arguing too much in the store but an email has gone off complaining.

You can get them in most supermarkets. Definetly in Tescos, Dunnes and Superquinn. You won't find them anywhere else @ that price unfortunately though!

Saw the normal one for half price in Tesco earlier on, for €1.50. They also had a box of 30 ferraro rocher for about €4.50 and half price large toblerone bars and some of their own brand boxes of chocolates for 67c (eg-orange sticks, caramels, pralines) The nicer ones weren't half price though.
