    Hey folks,

    I've added a car to my fleet in the last while - a 79 Mercedes 350SE W116.

Now, currently the reg is 79-CW-xxx. This is how I bought it. I haven't transfered the car into my name yet as I have been told that I can change the reg plate to a ZV plate, is this true? How do I go about it?

Ta in advance for your help and I'll get some pictures up once I get it on the road!

I live in Dublin, so I think that I get a ZV plate from Dublin, no? Dublin is on 4 digits from what I know, but it'd be great to get a 3 digit one. ZV 350 would have been fantastic!

Excellent. I've been a bit trigger happy with the cash machine this year and also have a Datsun 260Z to re-reg. Anyone know when the VRT office opens? Will it be nuts in the new year?

I have a ZV which I believed (till now) was registered in Carlow. It has 5 digits.

For the record...I spotted 'ZV 350' on a late 70' Alfasud at terenure some years ago.
Bit if a waste imho..low ZV plates should have been reserved for veteran cars.
