What's the best way to Tullow from N9?

Does anybody know the best way to get from the N9 (coming from Dublin) to Tullow, now that the new Castledermot by-pass is built?

I'll eat my hat if it isn't faster to use the M7 M9 and then the R725 into Tullow than the poxy N81 anyway.

Either

1. via Castledermot (no more congestion) by using the junction between Castledermot and Carlow and the R418 Castledermot-Tullow or

2. continue on the M9 as far as the N80 and either go cross country via Rathoe or head into Carlow on the N80 and take a right on the Tullow road the R725
