Go for it so I'd say - you could be right about the Arsenal game...

    By the way...

Lampard, Arshavin, Milner or Drogba for captain this week?

I guess it should be between the two Chelsea men...

Joe Hart IMO... Very tempted to take Birmingham win/draw @ odds of 2.50.

But from your 4 choices I'd take Milner, but that's on my belief that Villa will get something, and Milner likely the man to do the getting. He's also the penalty taker.

Between FFL and Milner for you I think.

Do you think Mancini will keep Bellamy in the same role as Hughes did? I'm keen to bring him in, but with the new boss and the fact he might feel disheartened about the change...

Hart never seems to get bonus points regardless of performance is the only thing...

    EDIT:

Also, I just remembered they're playing Chelsea :pac:

I panicked. Just made 3 changes - 8 points gone - and sold Rooney in the process. I think i've finally lost it. Now i'll sit back and watch all of the 3 I brought in get injured in training during the week.:(

Gonna wait a couple of weeks before I bring in any City players. Don't know what Mancini will do.

I meant swapping them out of my starting 11 onto the bench. My weekly transfer has already been done and dusted (Schwarzer out for Sorensen). I'm just thinking that I can't see Arsenal keeping a clean sheet, but if Cesc stays injured (and he might) for this one then where do the Gunner Goals come from? Dunne and Collins should be able to shut out Eduardo with ease IMO.

team as it looks so so far this week:

    1: Sorensen

    2: Ivanovic

    3: Shawcross

    4: Vermaelen

    5: Johnson

    6: Young A

    7: Benayoun
    (C)

    8: Gibson

    9: Fabregas

    10: Milner

    11: Rodallega

    12: Hart
    Goalkeeper

    13: McFadden
    Forward

    14: Dunne
    Defender

    15: Doyle
    Forward

Solid team there...Benayoun as captain though....risky but great differential if it comes off!

I think Lampard is beggining to pick up pace.

who else you bring in/take out? Taking out Rooney isn't a bad idea. may do it myself pretty soon.

What about Walcott, Arshavin, Nasri? Its about more than Dunne and Collins vs Eduardo.

Gibson is questionable, seeing as he is far from a regular at United, going into a busy period, is he really going to play every game? Good for the odd goal.

Is that Glen Johnson? With his price and the amount of points hes scored, I don't see him being worth it. He does have a favourable fixture this week, but how many cleansheets have Liverpool kept recently? If its Roger Johnson, hes an injury doubt for this week. Glen J should get a cleansheet this week anyways.

Benayoun as Capt could be risky, but good differential to be fair. He has scored more than 3 points in only 1 of the last 8 GWs and very rarely plays 90 mins.

Fabregas is doubtful, as is Shawcross.

Indeed it's Glen of the Johnsons. He'll be slinging his 'ook soon enough for sure. Just that every week for the past month I've found a more optimal purchase available, or a more needed one when double weeks were considered.

I'm thinking of making Milner my captain this week, or Young, just depends on the vibes I pick up as I approach Friday and Saturday.

Have Rooney in team and have no intention of selling him, Utd have handy run coming up. Was bad against Fulham as he was stuck out on wing.
Mid 200s now on boards, won cup game handy enough.

    Schwarzer

    dunne
    song
    samba

    valencia
    diaby
    reid
    arshavin

    defoe
    anelka
    rooney

going to sell samba and take in ivanovic

True. But I reckon if he gets a run in the team & top fitness back (which he hasn't had in months) he's sure to get some goals. It may be blind faith but we'll have to wait & see

My advice is simple...don't panic. You have a VERY strong team. Alot of the best looking teams have done poorly in the last 2 weeks. I would reduce your reliance on Sunderland players and remove one of them...they simply aren't doing the business. You have 5 DGW players which is solid. For the second transfer, I'd bring in a better third defender. Birmingham have tough fixtures.

    Rooney out - Torres in
James Collins out and Michael Dawson in
Bent out - Eduardo in - Might sound mad, and it probably is, but I wanted Eduardo for week 20 and if he scores against Villa and price went up then I wouldn't have been able to afford him.
So thats it. Need a Torres hat-trick now......:)

I hope not. Need a massive week from him against Wolves. Think he'll bang in a couple.

I've been planning on bringing torres in for drogba this week but if there's a high chance of him being rested I am doubting my decision.

I've got two transfers this week and this doubt over fabregas and torres is making things very difficult.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,355 ✭✭✭G1032

Why does everyone reckon Torres will ve rested? Liverpool have to start winning games quickly and he's the man to get the goals. He won't have played in a week so why need the rest? I'm gonna make him captain........

One reason may be that they are playing Villa away three days later.

Worried about my lack of double GW players. I only have 2... could be tough to hold onto my top 40 spot in the boards league, and the lead in my private leagues :(

If I knew Fabregas wouldn't be fit for both games of the double GW, it might make things easier!

I'm happy enough to leave it this week and use two transfers next week to get in some arsenal players while shipping out Drogba.

    Dunne
    Terry
    Carr

    Milner
    Kranjcar
    Lampard (c)

    Torres
    Drogba
    Defoe

    Sorensen
    A. Dawson
    Muamba
    Hunt
