From reading around the net it isnt real. its just a possibility for the future, a concept as mentioned earlier.

If it ever does make it to prodution its likely to be built on the Toyota Chassis of the Aygo/IQ, similarly to the Peugeot Citroen branded ones seen below.

All these models were built in the same factory in a joint venture with Toyota, Citroen and Peugeot with only minor cosmetic differences to them. different bumpers, lights etc but the same chassis, engine and box etc etc.
This is basically what aston is doing because its making nothing from sports cars at the moment.:)

Its a perfectly good example, why?
Because it shows they've done exactly the same before as they are doing now with the aston, rebadging a Toyota built car.

as for your other examples, the reason they are different is because most of them are owned by the other. ie, Fiat own the Alpha company (as well as ferrari), VW, Skoda, Audi all under VAG (Volkswagon/Audi Group) etc etc.
