I do, just like I ignore the papers, TV and news websites. I tend to only post in the non-hype threads that can at least generate a laugh of make you think. Meh, I used to believe the crap the spurt at us in the news, but not any more I reserve my seriousness for issues that actually affect me, such as... well, I dunno, gearboxes, GS300s and lambda sensors. Oh, and 787s. I like AH, but sometimes it's like swimming in a tank full of other people's fake plastic sh!t. No wait, I'm thinking of Personal Issues.

Anyway what threads do you read in here?

I try to only read the ones with social values, informative warnings, wry political commentary and fantastic spelling.

I do ignore a lot of threads here, I've no interest in getting into any kind of a debate with anyone, and in AH of all places. Other forums will get a more serious reply from me, but in here is for killing some spare time for me - thats it.

I tend to avoid the ones that require any real intellectual thought. That is not what AH is for!

I'm supposed to look through most of them... but I don't.
If I log on and we have a big thread. Then I've lost the flow of the thread and respond to reported posts.
If I'm there at the start (first two pages)and post, then its in my subbed list and I'll keep an eye on it.
Apart from that, I flick through and skim read most of the others

I try to stay away from really long ones because I'm too lazy to read the whole thing!

Yeah generally I look at the lighter threads too. Im not one for moral outage so I cant give the 110% required in most of the threads regarding bankers, politicians, priests etc. I just think, meh, the world is a ****ed up shíthole - deal with it.

Same here with the new threads, if i've missed the 1st couple of pages i'll tend to ignore it unless it looks really funny.

I saw the feeky one as it was starting off but thought "this will die down pretty quick"...... Came back a day later and well you know how it went.

I usually avoid the "this person doesn't deserve to live" threads.

There are no bad news threads in AH....they are all hilariously funny.

I don't read the bad news threads anymore. I don't want to know about the latest dog that's been set on fire or kid that's been abused. If I wanted to depress myself I'd watch the news or read the paper, both of which I stopped doing a long time ago.

I read the funny ones or ones that I'm personally interested in and feel I can contribute to.

    So not that many :P
