Ohh you live near the Cadbury factory. I know a guy living in Cork originally from there. First name Chris. That's all I'm sayin' though. Haha!

I was a good friends with a Chris :D - He be my own age. He spent a lot time in Killarney. Me too, worked there for years :pac:

Maybe. Met people off the net before. Didn't go so well. I like my IRL mates :P Still, I'm only new. We'll see how it goes.

Oh, for anyone who cares, my name isn't Roz. It's Nollaig. You can guess why I don't use it. :P

Weekend has been spent wrapping Christmas presents. And working out if I could get to see Jack L in Killarney (I'm from Kerry) in January (booked the tickets today) - saw him last month here in Cork and thought he was fantastic so I'm dying to see him again.

I'm sorry to hear that you had a bad experience meeting people off the net. Our meetups are never 1 on 1 (unless people wish to meet that way) so you will always be in a safe crowded environment. I like my real life friends also however my boardsie friends are just as nice.

Unusual name, any story as to how it came about? Were you born at Christmas? :)

Kerry hey? You are not alone in that case :)

"My" Chris is 23 now, and yes he spent much time in Killarney as did I. I don't talk to him anymore though, just lost contact. I used to go in every Saturday, that was the big meet up day.

More than one bad meet up lol. Cinema trip sounds cool. TBH since I graduated from UCC my groups have split and I don't see a lot of people, so meet ups could be cool in time.

My name is stupid. I was christened Christmas Eve and I don't know, I guess my parents took some funny pills that day

What kind of movies are you into? Were they boards meetups? I can only speak for myself when I say that I have never had a bad experience at a cork boards meetup, I have organised most of them since I joined though so maybe I am biased :P

Ah I'm sure your name is a great topic of conversation :)

They were one on one meet ups. With guys. Yeah, I know, asking for trouble. Won't do it again, sir. Etc.

Movies: Intelligent movies generally, but anything goes, horror, chick flicks, science fiction, comedies and mindless action is occasionally fun. Examples of favourite movies: The Twilight Saga and Primer. That's the degree of variation going on haha.

My name gets laughed at/joked about/occasionally insulted. Specially this time of year. 'Hahah okay so what's your real name?' My mates call me Noll. I'll have to start introducing myself as that :P

aha that explains a lot ;)

well as I said the 'official' boards meetups are never 1 on 1, obviously if you go to one and exchange numbers with a guy you meet at one then that is your business :)

That's insane. Can I ask your first name? I don't remember many of Chris's friends. You still see him at all?

Donal.... Do you remember Emerald Computers. He used always call in with his friends. At that time I used always be getting the bus back home. The memories. Long time ago now :)

It's coz my name isn't a name, it's an annual holiday :D I don't mind to be honest, says a lot about a person when I get their reaction.

I don't to be honest with you! I only knew Chris for a brief-ish time, we were good mates but then almost ended up together and didn't and it got sticky for a while. We never really stayed close after that.

Very long time ago now! I see the little emos in Paul Street and think 'bless, that used to be me!' haha. Glad I grew out of that phase, eugh.

You probably know to see me. I went to school with Chris for years...crazy guy ha. I used to do some skateboarding too in Killarney. I went through a bit of a phase too :pac:

Yeah he was cool. He's been in Cork ages now, and I've only bumped into him once. Think he was doing security or something at the time.

Weird I don't remember your name... I remember Shane. Unless Shane was Friday's (Liam)'s mate. Chris and Friday were mates for ages and something happened. And I remember Holly, still speak to her occasionally. But not anyone else.

I used to skateboard myself for a while! Wasn't good though, speed was my thing. I'd just fall straight off one now haha.

Yeah heard he was in Cork too now. Haven't seen him in years. Be nice to again though.

Don't know any shane though. Probably don't know many of his Killarney friends.

My brother got the Monday off! I don't know how, as the last time virtually the same presentation was being done, we were hiding in Kerry due to the floods (he's a research PhD student in the UCC IT building, which was shut down for a while as a result of flooding) and he couldn't do it. So he was sure he would have to do it this time, and he just told me today he got the day off, plus three weeks holidays (LOL) so we're off to Kerry on the 18th and won't be back til Jan 10th! Awesome.

Not good, been up since 10 a.m trying to get my portfolio done, not doing too bad, was thinking right get half done today and Im only working 4 hours an evening this week so will most definately get it done for friday.....fast forward to 5.30 and I get a phone call from my manager, the girl who was on sick leave (she fell off a kick stool and got two hairline fractures, and was due back tomorrow) is out for another week! So now my measly 20 hour evening shift hours have been bumped up to 40 hours!
Seriously screwed for getting this portfolio done to my standard.

On the upside I got an interview for the PGCE in England for my first choice today, so that kinda cancels out all the bad stuff....but have to get a fantastic final grade this year if they are going to accept me on the course!

Hope everyone else is having a better day than I am!

FFS did anyone ever purchase that Chicago Town Garlic Pizza thing (Thought it was a normal pizza). Well I put it in oven and came back from shop and the bloody house stinks. Most disgusting thing ever. Through the whole thing in bin. I mean everywhere in house is bad upstairs and all. Feel like vomiting with the smell...

Ha same happened me! - It had falling down one side.

I went to shop there for air freshener. When I was walking up towards my front door I could smell it out on the street. It's a disgrace. I must have got a bad one or something, there's no way they'd still be in shops after what I've smelt!

The air freshener is doing nothing! :( - The lads will kill me when they walk in.

Well it's hardly your fault, it wasn't intentional.... or was it? :D

I've never tried those pizzas, though I had heard only good things. Don't think I'll bother now...
