Yes but might be a stupid one, ya know on some cameras how when you push down the button for taking a photo a red light appears and illuminates the subject? After which you take the photo...is there a name for that 'feature'? My last camera broke and I want to get a new one but it has to have that feature. Hope I am making sense.....

I'm not sure what you mean - is the red light in the viewfinder? like to show you what you're focused on?
or is is literally a light that lights up the subject like a pre flash for reducing red eye?

Anytime I have seen it it lit up the subject when they pressed the button half way, then the picture was taken when they fully pressed the button.

ah ok - that's autofocus assist. I imagine nearly all cameras have it, sometimes it's visible, sometimes not.

It's a half hour drive to my workplace so no walking for me unfortunately. You can use the money you save to buy us all drinks on Friday :P

I hope you have enough water for 2 hot water bottles in the kettle!

Thanks for the drinks invite but I don't really drink, and would be wary going alone! I'm meant to be going home that day but my bro got roped into doing a presentation at work on the 21st.

Who arranges a presentation for the 21st of December?!

And yes, NurseMar get a second bottle! Have one on your feet - even better than socks!

    yup.

it's an assist that illuminates the subject using either visible or invisible light.

I could of course be wrong. that's not unusual :)

You do not have to drink Roz, no-one will force you and plenty of people head there alone (nursemar will be one of them), me too. I am organising the beers and as most people know at this stage I exchange numbers with anyone that wants to (so they can meet me beforehand or just text when they get there). Ah sure we have other outings like bowling / cinema / pool etc so we might see you at one of those events.

Where are you from? Get up to anything exciting for the weekend?! A presentation on the 21st! SUCKS!

Maybe. Met people off the net before. Didn't go so well. I like my IRL mates :P Still, I'm only new. We'll see how it goes.

Oh, for anyone who cares, my name isn't Roz. It's Nollaig. You can guess why I don't use it. :P

Weekend has been spent wrapping Christmas presents. And working out if I could get to see Jack L in Killarney (I'm from Kerry) in January (booked the tickets today) - saw him last month here in Cork and thought he was fantastic so I'm dying to see him again.
