    could someone please explain the following in english
    1. how to know if the word is masculine or feminine
    2. everything to know about the genetive case

    16/20 years of using and learning irish - i wish there was an easy way.

    like most languages you are just going to have to learn the words with the gentives learnt off or get a grammar book.
    if you are just starting i would recommend the dictionary route.

    Have you any idea how much information you've just asked for? Best advice I have for you is to buy a good grammar book. There are lots of them with explanations in English. Try litriocht.com and amazon
