I am looking for info on Cummins engines fitted to diggers and other plant (1990's - early 00's). Its the 6BT 6 Cylinder model (identified by 6 seperate rocker covers and the inlet manifold is part of the head). I have one of these engines out of a DAF 45 but need to convert the spec of it. I have been told they have been fitted in diggers so any help would be appreciated. I require the following parts or alternatively an engine number so I can order then from Cummins. First option above would be preferred

Oil pick up (turning the sump so existing one won't do) The one I want has the deep part of the sump at the flywheel end
    Short dipstick and tube
    Oil filler & cap

Have you any idea what machines they were fitted to?

I know the engine but only from the DAFs. If you could tell me what make/model of machine they were in I might be able to find the bits for you

You might check the isuzu 6 cyl truck engines. I think some parts interchange.

No, I have no firm info on what they were fitted to which is why I was asking . Have been told they may be fitted to Komatsu, Hyundai, Daewoo and Case.

You will also need to change the injector pump as the pump will be set up differently for a truck to a machine

The engine is going into a road going vehicle so pump is OK. The only reason I was asking about plant is that I am told they would have the correct sump orientation I'm looking for and possibly a short dipstick rather than the 5 or 6 foot long one on the DAF
