static electricity buildup in my pants (SFW)

I have a pair of adidas tracksuit bottoms, size xxl(bought in america obviously!). lately Ive been getting odd feelings in my legs as Ive been wearing them more often around the house.
Ive noticed when I take them off, all the hairs on my legs stand out and I can feel tingles, then when I drop them to the floor I hear crackling

when I was 18yrs old i used to get an electric shock off things sometimes, hand rails, metal kettles. I dount I have some kind of undiscovered superpower, but is there a way I can stop my pants becoming electrified?

so far I havent experienced any benefit to this phenomenon

Im using an aluminium macbook pro, maybe it has something to do with it?

It could be the carpet! try getting undressed on a tiled floor and see if it stops.

So you have a pair of pants that's gettin ya all excited. Sure it's just the hairs standing on end?

pmsl!!! Sorry, can't help it, I was in tears reading that, I was already predicting the replies! Would you believe it could be your shoes. If you wear shoes with bad soles in them you can get a build up of static on the body.

OP make sure your girlfriend/wife/boyfriend/husband wears a rubber glove when they're pulling your wire.
