Now, I respect the principle of each to their own and all that, but... Tramore? It's a miniaturised Blackpool cum dormitory town for Waterford city.

Ah I'd a class holiday there last summer so I threw it in.:p

To add to the list, some village in Cork(east Cork, I think) there's a big statue of a boxer in the middle of it.:o Bally-something I think.

Another worthy mention, the walk between the carpark (at the castle) to the Swiss Cottage is fantastic on a nice day
They are in the process of demolishing the Grain Silo in the centre of town aswel, Getting rid of such an ugly building will definitely add to the experience of the place

    Adare (Limerick)

Lovely place!! I wonder if Tiger Woods will fulfill his commitment to play in the Pro-Am at Adare Manor in early July?

Carrigaholt in Co. Clare. Went there a couple of times as a child and always enjoyed myself :)
Also, it was the first village I ever saw where the amount of pubs outnumbered the amount of people who lived there

I used to go there as a child too. It's a lovely little place!

Carlow, it's actually so much fun!!

Obviously is the best place to visit for pubs/clubs. Everyone seems to love it here!

Apart from Carlow have to say I love Galway the city is awesome place to go out in. Taffes is possibly the best pub in Ireland including a crazy amount of hot single (or at least thats what they said) women!

Spiddal is another lovely spot to just have a few pints in a totally relaxed atmosphere. Went there on a fishing trip, and went to a pub there after can't remember the name of it but it had old school charm. The auld guys at the bar and even the younger crowd around were all dead sound, chatting away with us. You never get that in Dublin/Carlow or most places I'm sure. We stayed there from 5pm all night...taxis back to Galway city were expensive but it was well worth it :)

Sitting at the edge of Dun Aengus(Aran Islands) at sunset. Feels like the sun is setting on the whole world, right there in front of you.

In my teens I lived in Wicklow and climbed all the bigger and less accessible peaks. However I rather fear that the character of North Wicklow has been spoilt with the progressive over spill of Dublin. I will probably get pilloried for saying this but Bray has become one of my less favourite towns - crowded, seedy and confused.
