A Moouse Loose About The Hoouse!

    Ok comrades, Biggins needs help (the wife says I need a lot of help - but that another story! :D ).
    I have a shed out the back that has a mouse eating away at items.
    Anyone out there able to say what's the best way to be rid of these buggers (besides poison and traps if possible) and if those plug-in sonic deterrents actually bloomin' work?

    Whats left.... You dont want whats used. A shot gun to the head(of the misses) might solve all problems.


    Seriously "The Big Cheese" a range of rat and mouse traps in woodies and atlantic are brilliant. Google images for the look of them

    Those deterents usually work, yeah.


    Get one, slit it's throat, leave it in the shed with a note saying "You're next". They'll get the message

    Ask your local chemist for some. Splash it around a bit and there won't be any mice living there. Actually nothing will live there.

    * If I use the poison route, the buggers might die in an awkward place, corner where I can't get to and stink the place out of.
    I've had this happen before and it took weeks/months to clear the stench out.
    * Can't get a cat at present, due to kids and next door has some serious HUGE vicious madra's!

    Has anyone used sonic devices on such creatures successfully?
    Get alend of brian cowan he will get rid of it!
    I want to be rid of them, not tax/levy them!

    If so, yeah. We used to have a bit of a mouse problem, stuck a few in the kitchen sockets, grand now. Mom's mate's house in Wexford was the same, so yeah; I'd say they'd be a good investment.

    I had a mouse in the house recently, had to nickname the fcuker Rasputin in the end.
    Poisoned him,
    Cornered him and covered him in spray foam,
    Tried to asphyxiate him with some spray glue,
    Finally threw him into a pond where he finally drowned (I think)

    have sexy times with one of the mice in full view of the other mice.. this will lead to a breakdown in their community and in 3 -10days you will see a revolt and lastly 10-15 violent mouse screams and then and only then disembark from within said mouse

    Cats eat mice not children.
    As regard the sonic thingys,the mice have evovled and learned to adapt to them.
    They're now wearing earplugs.
    Borrow a cat (or kidnap one) and leave him in the shed overnight.
    The smell will keep mice away for a while.

    She just wants me to supply the equipment and let her get on what what she does too.

    I might go into overkill if I go after the bugger - and she knows it!
    A Brown Precision Tactical Elite might be a bit too much and I haven't got the patience for a ruddy mouse!

    Speaking from experience (we used to live in an old, old house with many places for meeces to get in) rat poison is your definitive answer. Got rid of them all, then we got new doors to keep them out.

    We still live in an old, old house, but we have new doors and no meeces. No more "I saw a mouse Where? There on the stair. Where on the stair? Right there, a little mouse with clogs on. Oh I declare! Going clip-clippity-clop on the stair. Right there."

    Put some sugar in water then add a tiny bit of cement. The mice will drink the tasty water then the cement will set. You then proceed to pick up the mice and throw them away like stones.

    Heard a trick year's ago. Get a bottle with a small opening, say a coke bottle from a pub. Put chocolate and bacon in the bottle, they seem to like that, mice have the ability to squese into small holes about the size of a pen but once they eat they cant get back out. So mouse goes into bottle eats food but cant get back out. I never tried it by the way.

    Another one is to put food into a large metal bucket have a way for the mouse to go in but not back out. He smells the food climbs into bucket but wont be able to climb back out.

    They do like chocolate or bacon rind - high fat foods + mice = happiness (for them).
