Yep Rooney has a hamstring problem.
And Ferguson confirmed Wayne Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov took minor knocks at West Ham.

Rooney has hamstring injury while Berbatov has a knee problem, with both rated doubtful for Saturday's home game with Aston Villa.

If Rooney misses out I don't know what I'll do as I was planning on putting the captaincy on him and I feel I need him there to break the 50 point mark.

    Damn injuries!

Without Rooney I have no decent captaincy candidates.

Anyone putting it on Arshavin (Away to Liverpool)?

I've had him in my team since day 1.

I refuse to take him out as I know he can regain last years form, I know it!

    Amen, brother JPA, Amen.

Switching subject, apparently Rooney should be OK for Villa next weekend.

Only got Rooney in.. Fek me. 6 players not playing next weekend and Rooney injured on top of that.

Exactly, I remember two seasons ago I had Pedersen in my team all year, refusing to drop him.

Think he got like three goals and four assists all season

We're all guilty of it. I'm sticking with Vermaelen until he scores a couple of wonder goals!

I have to admit there is a fine line between shipping someone too early and hanging onto him for too long. I'm delighed I got of Lennon when I did, even though he scored 16 about 3 weeks later.

My major mistake was transferring out Milner when he looked like being injured during the double game week. He has been superb since.

A.Young is the one I refuse to take out. I don't even no why, he's not playing well at all but always seems to get something every week I think I might take him out.

Milner is like Stephen Ireland last year IMO, you just have to have him. And I reckon he'll continue to improve as he is playing through the middle now.

    Milner & Dunne; essential :)

I was lucky I had a more pressing transfer to make the week he was 'injured'. He went on to bag 11 points that week. Not bad for an injured player.

I did the exact same thing - sickener!

I don't think Dunne is essential. He's had very few clean sheet in the past while. Looking to get rid of him soon. Was gonna swap him for Evra because United have a handy run of fixtures coming up but with all their injury problems at the back I might just hold on to Dunne for now.

Sssssshhhhh, just looking for that final price rise.... *cough*

Had the same plan but not gonna move on Evra for the moment. Far too dodgy atm.

Very similar to yourself.. More pressing issues at the back meaning I cant sub out Dunne for another week or two.

why get rid of dunne he has the highest points of any defender and is nowhere near the most expense, though he does cost about a million more than when i bought him :)

Fixtures was the main reason for me. The lack of a good alternative & Dunne scoring again stalled those plans.

Just because he's the highest now, doesn't mean he's going to end up on top. Apart from his 11 against Hull he's been poor recently.

But not much worse than any other defender really.

I'm sticking with him anyway...I've lost all faith in defenders after getting 0 points from A.Cole and Carvalho at the weekend!

    I have an injury crisis.

I need more Arsenal players as they've a double gameweek coming up very soon, but am unsure of who to supplement my team with.

O'Shea's out for another few weeks so need to drop him quick fast.

Not worried about burning through 4/8 points to make 2/3 top transfers if anyone has any good plans for me?

I think both Rooney and Shawcross will be fine for Saturday. I'd get rid of O'Shea for a Chelsea defender.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

Rooney,Shawcross and Dunn should be fine.

Get O'Shea out for Evra. Evra is 6.7 so you should have enough after selling O'Shea.

Depends on whether United get Vidic and Brown back for Sunday. I honestly think Villa could score at least 2 at the weekend if they don't. Chelsea are a much safer bet imho.

So Bullard is again out for a while. Who are people replacing hin with?
I'm also thinking of getting rid of Gareth Barry in exchange for Milner.

It's so annoying having to wait for European games to finish before we can settle on some transfer decisions.

So Rooney looks good to start but there's still worry over Shawcross

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

Pretty sure Shawcross will be fine for Saturday.
