Some girls I know, all with average looks get all the men, while others with average looks get none!

Apart from looks, what is it?

Is it niceyness, confidence or wha?:o

I think approachability has a lot to do with it, then after that willingness to talk and then maybe if the girl gives some indication she is interested..

niceness more so than confidence I would think

Difficult question if you assume all things being equal in the physical attribute department. It could come down to how they carry themselves, do they have a sense of humour, are they not up themselves, do they seem non threatening, are they neurotic or are they comfortable with themselves, and so on. It could be many things depending on the girl and the men/environment in question. Apologies for my non answer.

Assuming your question is real (and i suspect it is) the above are the reasons.
1/ The majority of men are terrified of talking to women / ie rejection
2/ Most men will approach someone not too threatening.
