PSN Block due to Filesharing Block!

Im living in student accommodation where they have a file sharing block up to stop all the students from torrenting music the problem is it also blocks the PSN. I can get onto the internet browser fine I just cant sign in. Anyone know a way I can get around this?

Not without asking the network admin to open the required ports!

Give computer services a shout and ask them nicely to open the ports. Here in DCU they do it for campus people.

And if your Computer Services Dept it's anything like the one in DCU they'll appreciate it if you list the exact ports you need to have opened.

I'd imagine the amazing power of google can tell you this.

A search like "What ports does PSN use" might give you the answer.
