Things that won't be around in 10 years

Here is my listing of things that won't be around in a decade:

1. Fax machines (they will go the way of the telex and will start appearing in folk museum displays anyday soon)

2. CDs & DVDs

3. FM radios

4. A litre of petrol (or any petrol for that matter)

5. Cycling on the left (there will be no cars)

6. Mobile phones (will become personal communicators - implants optional)

7. Dentists (they are becoming scarce as it is)

8. Regular people (as most will have aspired to be celebrities)

9. People who help other people in the street without being asked

10. Basic civility like saying 'Good Morning,' to strangers (you will first have to prove that you have been vetted as not being a potential paedophile before you can talk to anyone)

11. Domestic pets (legislation will preclude the consumption of pigs and sheep in case they carry disease, and cattle because environmental legislation decrees that they fart too much and can destroy the planet)

12. Bankers (they will all have been rounded up and executed in the global cull of miscreants in 2012)

13. Politicians (they will have fled in their wake just in case they might become next on the list)

14. Ryanair (they will run out of customers to insult by 2013)

15. Lawnmowers (there will be no gardens in modern high rise apartments)

16. The telephone (it won't be replaced by the mobile phone, we just won't be able to find anyone who uses one)

17. Supermarket trolleys (EU legislation introduced by Lidl will decalare that one single government owned municipal trolley per community will be sufficient. It will be large enough to augment local neighbourhood bus services)

18. Birdsong (birds will be banned as they **** on people. Taxmen will still **** on people but their numbers will continue to increase)

19. Football, Rugby and GAA stadia (the grounds will be given over to the communal growing of lentils); and finally

20. Sense of humour and self esteem

Hopeful within ten years we might expect to use Boards without having to encounter users who insult strangers whom they have never met
