Is it odd for a man to shave his whole body?

A mate of mine used to cycle,
    around Ireland,
    very fit.

He shaved his legs, which I thought was weird.
But guess what happens when you shave,
    it grows back even strong.

He now looks like a fookin wookie.

I hate armpit hair on men. It looks good on nobody.

I'm not really sure how to put this.

But yeah, I am a pretty hairy guy all over on my legs, arms and chest.

I was planning on waxing it all off but not sure how much it will help since it will grow back harder/longer, right?

I play a-lot of sports and at the locker room/games it's a little awkward when you've got more hair then a werewolf.. You get the drift yeah?

So anyway, what you guys think?

If you know anyone in the Dublin area, do mention it.

    Thanks.

i would get my entire body waxed if i looked good enough to show it off

I'm gonna do it. But I am gonna be hella-embarrassed walking into the salon.

To be perfectly honest, I'd be way, WAY more embarrassed about saying something like 'hella' ...unless you're from Compton ???

i hear of people doing the back, sack and crack

See well then - where do you stop ? Say you are the missing-link like OP here (sorry OP :P), and you do the sack, back, & crack -aren't the hairy ass and legs going to just look feckin weird ? I mean do they draw lines at the start and follow them sort of like a reverse paint the numbers ?

If you are super-hairy, then you may as well get a full body wax - it would be odd to have a hairless torso and werewolf legs.

Waxing hurts like a beeyotch - especially the first few times - but if you do it regularly it hurts less, and the hairs grow back finer and slower. I would suggest asking for recommendations though (or lurking on waxing threads), because some waxers are really fast and efficient (which doesn't seem to hurt as much), and others seem to drag the process out, miss hairs and have to keep going over the same patch.

Finally, if someone is really good, it should take a few days to get an appointment. If you call on a Saturday and they can take you that afternoon RUN LIKE THE WIND.

Repeat after me: I WILL NOT BE EMBARRASSED TO GO TO A SALON

Seriously, you would be surprised at how many men actually do go to salons for waxing, facials, manicures, pedicures... and they are STRAIGHT.

If you want to remove your unwanted hair, do not shave! Always get it waxed. It doesn't hurt as much as you think, and you get used to it too!!:)

It's not, its a rubbish rumor (should be added to the "facts people think are true but aren't" thread that was floating about).

Shaving hair does not alter your genes, that's simply impossible. Shaving your face tends to happen when you get "bum fluff", so it is not really getting "thicker and darker" due to shaving but because (you may rejoice!) puberty is kicking in for you (at last).
    The Darker and Thicker Myth
    # Many people will tell you that shaving your legs will only make the hair grow back thicker and darker than before. Don't believe it. When you shave your legs, you're only dealing with the surface of your hair, not the follicles. Nothing changes about your natural hair growth pattern by shaving---the regrowth only feels more "prickly" because the razor cuts by angle and leaves a point.

Put simply, it will look odd until new hairs replace the "chopped" ones and you will be back to square one.
