Listening to a harrowing story from a lady on RTÉ Radio 1 this afternoon about how she was abused by a Catholic priest, I got to thinking of Michael O Brien, a former Fianna Fáil mayor of Clonmel, on Questions & Answers earlier this year as he spoke with astonishing eloquence and ineffable emotion about how he was raped and buggered in an industrial school.

The most moving scene I have ever seen on television. If there is an award for person of the year, I think that man should get it.

I agree with people saying Johnjoe, but Jedward...? Other countires know of them and think the rest of us Paddies are the same? I don't get it.
