Your first legal drink?

    I remember thinking, back when I was approaching my 18th birthday, that I wanted to choose my first legal drink very carefully. I wanted something memorable and fitting.

    I chose a pint of Guinness, and I'm happy that Guinness was my first legal drink.

    Anyone else? What was the first drink you were legally able to enjoy?

    Defintitely remember my first illegal one, in the late lamented Barley Mow on Francis street, served a Guinness age 10...

    Bottle of Grolsch in Bruxelles the night of my 18th a suppose. Was drinking there for years though so wasn't a big deal tbh .. tis true :)

    Depends what you mean by legal. If you mean '18' then I'll tell you in 2011 :pac:
    But here, it's legal to drink in a pub over 16 if it's bought by an adult. My dad bought me one after my birthday, a Carlsberg :D

    First legal would have been a nice pint of Bulmers.. Ah and then I progressed onto the vodkas.. Sambucas, sex on the beachs.. Oh I loved being a student.. People are so so boring now :(

    was a late starter, never liked beer that much as a teenager so it was probably an alco pop, then i discovered guinness

    A guinness and whiskey chaser on the day i turned 18. Didn't really feel special because i had been drinking for 4 years and was getting into my locals for almost 2 years by then.

    I was in France when I was 17, it's where I first Drank.

    Smirnoff Vodka straight up. :)

    First Legal Drink in Ireland.

    Bulmers....it was nice at the time :)

    Cant remember I was wasted. I can remember my first illegal one. was much sweeter. I got into a nightclub wne i was 13 and drank 3 pints of bulmers and was wasted.

    i remember going to the same nightclub when i was 16 and was refused when they seen me on the paper with the under 18 rugby team. lol

    i remember my first legal pint very well.

    My 18th was on a thurs so i had school the next day, but i had to go out for a pint anyway. I had been served in all the pubs in town (not dublin, dont start:D) but one so went to that one and my school principal was sitting at the counter. I ordered a Pint of Cider for me and my mate then offered to buy my principal a pint. he refused:mad:

    I was in 1st year in college. I went out the night before my birthday. then at 12AM I had my first legal pint, which was my fourth of the night.

    (or whiskey when I was 5!That taught grandad not to leave the glass lying about)

    First legal drink - Whole bottle of vodka with some red bull in it and a Frames gig in Derry!

    Legal drink, not sure.... I think i went our on the eve of my birthday so i was prob pissed by 12 to remember. prob some alcopop ****e... ah the good ould days where alcopops didnt make me want to puke my brains out. my first illegal drink was some of a can of carling.

    My first illegal drink was a bacardi and coke that i stole on my mam and drank it in the toilets of my cousins christening. Ive always been classy lady!

    My first legal drink was probably a shot of something or other. Everything from 18 onwards is a bit of a blur tbh

    Went out and bought a 6 pack of Bavaria on the day of my birthday just because I could. Didn't drink it until the weekend though cos I had school that day. I wasn't that hard...
