Broke my Femur so they inserted a metal pin inside it running the whole length of the leg.

They cut u open on ur hip and drill a hole in the top of the bone then hammer the pin down through the center of the bone through the marrow. They then hold it in place with 2 screws drilled just above ur knee and a 3rd screw at the top next to ur hip.

I was on crutchs for 6 months after that and still have problems with it 8 years later. Winter is poxy for me, the pin will never be removed.

Op to correct turn in eye

I had one of those too - when I was 8. Had a bloodshot eye for months afterwards. It still plays up too sometimes, when I'm very tired and or drunk!

    Reset broken arm

    Appendectomy

    Tonsillectomy

    Removal of sinus polyps

    Wisdom tooth removal

That is all I can remember, broke 11 bones over the years, only one needed operating on though.

Have also had various blood tests, colposcopys, physios and one memorable bout of meningitis!

Hospital was a pretty regular hang-out for me when I was a kid :(

It sound similar to my post a few pages eariler, I had my do nearly twenty years ago, I' am untral runner up to 100k, have parachuted, bungeed ect. I have very few problems. I feel the cold in it on the motorbike in winter but that about it. The only different is my is in my Fib. The area around my ankle wher the screw are can be very sore is I get a smack there, the screws are sticking out a bit, they lossened over time, but not enough to justify removing them, I had the one at my knee removed.

There pain after the op is serious though isn't hammering that nail through the marrow:eek: I can still remember the pain I awoke in. I was toopede out on morp, but the pain was unable, to top it off I was vomiting and had explosive diarrhoea to add insult to injury. I will never forget that night, or the nurse who stayed with me for over six hours.

I've had 2 - first was when I was 7 0r 8 and there was a weird lump in my neck. It turned out to be nothing but for a while they were worried it was a tumor or something.

2nd was when I was 16. It was in an awkward place. Stuff twisted that wasn't supposed to. That's all I'll say. :(

my dad's just had that done last week.

No operations but was in hospital once about 6 weeks ago with ruptured ovarian cyst.

    Operations for:

Ears....not sure exactly what for as I was very young.
    Appendectomy
A few dozen broken bones and internal bleeding from a car crash when I was 6. Long operation and recovery.
Several operations on my disgestive tract to repair damage/defects.

    Planned Operations;

    Adamantium infusion.
Nano-tech infusion to provide accelerated healing, increased strenght and endurance.
Major facial plastic surgery to make me look like Hugh Jackman.

Then I can apply to be in the next X-Men movie, and get extra pay due to the reduced need for Wolvering CGI.

Oh, and I'm getting a brain operation next month.
