    HI,

I have seen on boards before that the insulated slab should not be bigger than the cavity insulation. I have also seen that the insulated slab should only be half of the cavity insulation.

    Any thougths?

This is a rule of thumb - a guide in the absence of a design calculation using condensation risk software . Some , not all , insulation providers have this software and will provide calculations.

The aim is to keep the inner leaf as warm as possible because if it cools you condensation can form there . So most of the insulation must be located towards the external .
