Don't know if I'll get any stick tomorrow off mates for going alone, they know I'm a mad music head and this kind of behaviour is to be expected.

Well they shouldn't. They let you down in the first place. Tell them they missed the best gig ever :)

Gone to Bristol and Belfast for gigs alone. Its fine. Met loads of cool people in Bristol, and we meet up for other gigs of the same band. Few drinks etc. A fine life. Very much so ok to go to gigs on your own, glad ya now realise it.

This reminds me of a situation my brother was in a few years ago. He wanted to go see this small band from Sheffield in Whelans and even though it was around a tenner, he couldn't find anyone. So he went alone. Turned out the band was called The Arctic Monkeys. :)

Doing things on your own ain't so bad! I do things alone all the time, cinema, gigs and even went to Australia on my own and had a ball!

I'd go to a gig bymyself :) Don't see the big issue, you get talking to people in the cue anyway. I guess if you're shy it could be a problem. I fi saw someone looking all lonely I'd strike up a conversation with them.

Sheesh it's a gig in your home town you have to go you might even meet someone you know. Looks like I'm going to 2 many Djs in Manchester on my own next month and I'm from Limerick. Gotta spend a night in Liverpool and Manchester. Sher I might make some new friends!

Just go, if any hot chicks ask, you work for rolling stone magizine and following the band.
