Would this be a Munster term for 'about it'? I hear 'faoi' used the most but I came across 'ina thaobh' in a grammar book and so I'm not sure what dialect uses it. anyone any ideas?

you'll hear cad ina thaobh pronounced as conathaobh, it has the same meaning as cad chuige i gConamara. Kind of "for why?"

I would use i dtaobh occasionally. I use it when I'm trying to saying "concerning", similar to maidir le.

Thanks all. Had forgotten about cad ina thaobh and i dtaobh.. definitely Munster sounding. I use 'ó thaobh... de' as well but I have heard that often in Conamara. I just hadn't come across the 'ina thaobh' taobh of it before I posted :)
Seems to mean same as 'faoi'.
As in 'an bhfuil eolas agat ina thaobh..'

    It means 'regarding' or 'about'.
